Fashion

is a trending way of doing things and is usually popular among us. One thing I’ve been asking myself is , why do we criticize the old fashion? Why?
Old fashion in the first place ain’t an appropriate name for a fashion that was one week, two months, three years and even a decade ago. No matter how old it is, who is going to deny that it was fashion. The name doesn’t change at all, if it changes, it’s just the addition of a phrase or word onto ‘fashion’ . We call trending things nowadays fashion yet there is no fashion in them. When something arises in a new version it doesn’t mean it’s fashion. Come on, version and fashion are two different things a small kid can get the difference. Yeah, I’m talking about that small kid in kindergarten who thinks every new cloth or dolly bought for him/her is in fashion. Look here, Undergraduate students have now got new and easy ways of writing words. You are communicating with a business partner via text and a ‘xo how baut we create a membership website 4 our business’ text comes in. This is not English at all. Probably the sender didn't pass his/her English course in college or he/she never sat in a class of language. Why can’t the fashion of the past be fashion? Nowadays people are wearing tight clothes in the name of fashion. Wearing baggy clothes on the other hand is cool as long as there is a good choice of color. Again, the occasion one is attending is a must consider. I can’t stand that guy in town in tight trousers they call khaki pants exposing his gigantic vital organs off the khaki. Yes , I wear fitting clothes too, but not skin tight. God!!!, your skin cannot even do its

work !? And you call that cool !! No that’s garbage. Women on the other hand are walking the way they were born in the name of fashion. Hold on a second, if you had not seen that socialite, that miss world Africa, that girl who is a prey to men, dress like that would we be having this conversation? Probably Not. Hold on a second, if you had not seen that socialite, that miss world Africa, that girl who is a prey to men, dress like that would we be having this conversation? No. We are copy pasting what other people are doing so that we look like them. Ladies were bees taking hair lengthening drugs, putting on weaves, wig and so on the last few months. They even looked down upon those who kept their hair low. The other day a Kenyan born, Lupita Nyong’o was mentioned the most beautiful lady on earth. The funny thin g is, she kept her hair low. Guess, the same ladies who grew their hair long now have small heads because they have gotten rid of the hair that magnified the size of their heads. For once let us be ourselves .My name is Douglas and I want to be like Douglas and not Mark. Let’s dress, talk and write in a way that pleases us and not other people. PEACE
